MEAT PACKING
Eva Valley Meats is the first paddock to plate beef cattle processing facility in the Northern Territory. We are a progressive company with a focus on delivering a quality product every week to premier restaurants in Darwin, and remote community supermarkets. We are currently seeking a full-time person to join our on-farm abattoir situated approximately 1.5 hours from Darwin.
You will be responsible for packing all meat products to a very high standard by:
You will need to possess strong communication skills in order to work effectively as a part of the butcher’s team.
This role is a part of a fast paced work environment and will require you to stand all day, and lift up to 20kg at a time. It will suit a fit person who can be extremely flexible and quickly move from one task to another to ensure that the flow of product through the abattoir is consistent. High levels of hygiene and attention to detail are essential, as are a strong work ethic and a desire to be an integral part of a team.
This role offers career growth and further training in certificate courses or apprenticeship for the right person. On-farm shared accommodation is available if required, salary will be according to experience in line with the meat industry award wage. - ensuring the correct packaging is used for each product
- weighing each product to within 20g of the required weight;
- ensuring all products are packed with very high levels of hygiene.
